Nagarjuna has a special liking towards  devotional  films. He played Annamayya and Sri Rama Dasu roles that fetched him Nandi awards as the best actor. He is currently playing  Sai Baba  role in Shiridi Sai. The  latest information  is that Nagarjuna agreed to play a guest role in Adi Shankaracharya movie directed by JK Bharavi. Nagarjuna’s Annamayya and Sri Rama Dasu were written by Bharavi. So he is doing  this film  for him. Lawrence and Nagarjuna will be doing a song for this film. Official confirmation regarding this is awaited.

  Smt. Akkineni Annapurna, wife of Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu, passed away today morning. She has been ill for a while now and sources say that she has been receiving treatment at a private hospital since the last few days. Smt. Annapurna was born in Denduluru on August 14th 1934 in West Godavari and she married Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu on February 19th 1949. The famous Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad was named after her by Nageswara Rao. She has always been a devoted wife and a doting mother.
